The Banff Centre

I have lived in Banff for just over seven years now and I realized recently that I have not been taking advantage of the fact that I live in the same town as The Banff Centre; an amazing facility recognized globally in the Arts Community.  I've been to a few shows now and then and recently attended a concert by American singer/guitarist Erik Bib and West African singer / guitarist Habib Koite. These two men have amazing talent and I was awed by their performance.  My husband and I have now decided to purchase an 'Art Lover's Pass' in order to attend more performances at the Banff Centre throughout the summer.

The Banff Centre also offers Educational Courses and Leadership Programs and their Art Programs include dance, film, indigenous arts, theatre, photography, opera, voice and much much more!   If you are an Artist who is looking for a new challenge, check out the different Art Programs available here.

Some of the events coming up in the next few weeks include:
*Saturday March 16 ~ a one on one conversation with Academy Award winning director Oliver Stone (limited seats still available).
*Saturday March 23 ~ Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival Special Screening; a selection of award winning films from the 2012 Festival!
*Sunday April 21 ~ Cowboy Junkies
*Saturday June 11 ~ Performance in the Park - Serena Ryder, Coeur de Pirate and Said The Whale.
