Highway 1A

I was driving back to Banff from Lake Louise last Monday on the old 1A and was lucky enough to see a bear from afar on some train tracks ~ it was a gorgeous grizzly bear! We also ran into some beautiful elk on the side of the road.

If you are visiting the park and want to see some animals, take a drive on the 1A between Banff and Lake Louise and you may have some luck. Please remember to drive the speed limit (60KM/Hour) and if you do come across an animal, stay in your car~
